The Allards are taking neighborliness to new heights. With all of their community involvements, it's hard to imagine that they moved into their Promontory Ridge home just over a year ago.

Shawna and Peter, and their children, Casey, Jenna, and Michael can be seen on the trails, in the café and at every community event.

But it doesn't stop there.

Shawna was the originator of the Promontory Ridge Directory, which profiles residents in the neighborhood and helps them stay connected.

Her activism is not without a purpose. "We love being in a new community where everyone is eager to bond," she said. "With schools right in the neighborhood, I hold on to the old fashioned idea that many of us will be able to raise our children together. I think San Elijo Hills has the potential to be that kind of place, and I'm willing to do my part to make it happen."
