MiraCosta College is a public community college in North San Diego County which was founded in 1934. Its main campus is located in Oceanside California while Cardiff-by-the-Sea is home to MiraCosta’s San Elijo campus. MiraCosta College offers a number of associate’s degree programs in addition to more than 50 career training certificate programs which can be completed in 1-2 years.  

San Diego City College

San Diego City College, often referred to informally as “City College” is a public community College located in the heart of Downtown San Diego at 1313 Park Boulevard.  Its 60-acre campus serves more than 15,000 students. City college is part of the San Diego Community College District and offers courses in general education, lower-division transfer programs, and a number of career development and developmental education programs.

San Diego Miramar College

San Diego Miramar College, referred to informally as “Miramar”, is a public two-year college in suburban San Diego. Along with San Diego City College, San Diego Mesa College, and San Diego Continuing Education, Miramar is part of the San Diego Community College District.

San Diego Continuing Education

This public, non-credit educational institution offers career technical education, adult basic education, and basic college preparation. It is located in San Diego, California and serves over 40,000 students.

Palomar College

Palomar College is a public community college in North San Diego County. Its main campus is located in the city of San Marcos and the six educational sites connected to the college can be found in neighboring Escondido, Camp Pendleton, Mt. Carmel High School, Fallbrook High School, the Pauma Indian Reservation, and at the campus of Ramona High School. Over 250 associate’s degrees and certificate programs are offered at Palomar College in addition to transfer programs for universities in the University of California and California State University systems.

The San Marcos Unified School District (SMUSD) serves over 20,000 students in San Marcos and parts of adjoining communities, such as San Elijo Hills, Carlsbad, Vista, and Escondido.
